AUSTRALASIAN COUNTRY MUSIC ASSOCIATION YANDINA FACT SHEET
The ACMA was launched in 1964 as The Modern Country Music Association, changing to
the ACMA in 1978, and is the oldest Country Music Association in Australia.
The current hall was built by volunteers and opened in 1980.
It is run by volunteers and holds regular practice days and concerts at the hall in Yandina.
Concerts include audience participation, performances by the members backed by the
house band, and Guest Artists.The objective of the Association is to preserve and promote Country Music in an inclusive,
fun environment.Visitors are most welcome.
There are currently approximately 120 financial members, and growing.
The new Executive is committed to:
● The revitalization of the ACMA by encouraging new membership,
● Improving the standard of performances for the benefit of the audience,
● The renewal of the interior and exterior appearance of the the Hall and the grounds,
● Boosting our social media presence
● Building on our standing in the local Yandina and broader Sunshine Coast
